2010 - INTER ASSOCIATION
Panteg Park were hosts to the first Inter association
game against a very strong West Mon side with several welsh internationals
making up their side. We were fortunate to have a few players representing
our club and all of them gave a great account of themselves. R. Jones, J.
Berry, K. Davies, and H. Rees. The club would like to thank members who gave
up their time to ensure the evening was a success.

APRIL
2010 - TRIPLES
After many months of decorating the season has
finally arrived. The in house triples were played early this year to
accommodate our busy schedule. The weather was hot and the green was in
perfect condition. Five teams were playing for the first trophy of the
season and was eventually won by H.
Rees, T. Wills, R. Peploe.
Well done and thanks for a great afternoon of bowls.

OCTOBER 2009
- PRESENTATION NIGHT
Once again we held our presentation night at the Open
Hearth and again we were not disappointed, the food was excellent and the night
was a great success with virtually all members attending. Once again we must
thank John Berry for organising the night. The Clubman award this year went
to Lyndon Davies.

SEPTEMBER 2009 -
CLUB FINALS DAY
The finals were played on a hot Saturday in
September. Four finals were being contested. The fast green and playing
conditions made the finals a very close affair with exceptional play from
all involved.

SEPTEMBER 2009 - E.V.B.A FINALS DAY
The finals of the E.V.B.A were held at Panteg
Park this year and the day was a resounding success. The green bowled
exceptionally well and compliments from all bowlers of the very high
standard of the green and facilities. John Berry our Captain and this years
President of the E.V.B.A was delighted with the day and was hopeful that
next years association games would be played at the park.

JUNE
2009 - CLUB TRIPLES
The sun was out and the company during the afternoon was very enjoyable. 15
members battled it out with the overall winners being E. Price, P. Jannetta,
R. Peploe. A huge thankyou to everyone who attended and made it a great day.

The position of Treasurer has now been resolved. We would like to thank
Howard Rees for taking on this position and hope he will remain in office
for many years to come.

NOVEMBER 2008 - AGM
The club would like to wish Gwyn Davies all the
very best after retiring from the role of Treasurer. Gwyn has been Treasurer
for 16 years which must be a club record, his presentation of the accounts
and attention to detail will be a hard act to follow. We thank him for many
years of service and wish him the very best for the future.
The web page will be updated shortly with all the new officers.

On a
sad note we have recently lost 2 past members Mr N. Atack and Mr G. Evans
and the club would like to pass their sincere condolences to their families.

Panteg Park would like to congratulate Roger Jones for winning the MBA
Singles Championship, this now qualifies Roger to play in the WBA National
finals to be played on the 29th August and he has been drawn against Mr J.
Price (Aberavon). The club wish Roger all the very best in the finals and are very proud to have a worthy ambassador at the
club.

TRIPLES
Congratulations to this years triples winners J. Berry, L. Davies and D.
Rogers. Thanks to all players who supported the competition. Although the
weather was damp and some rain towards the end, this did not overshadow the
afternoon of bowls. The games were entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed by
all who attended.

- Our first league game will be on Saturday.
WBA
- National Club Championship. Our last game in our section against Usk Vale
was a narrow defeat by 6.5 shots. Our final tally Won 2 Lost 2 with 23 shots
against.
WBA -
Congratulations to all the team for a fine win over Girlings in the WBA.
Lets use this game as the platform for the rest of season.

The
first match will be on Saturday the 19th April away to caerleon. Could all
players wishing to play meet at the club house on TUESDAY 15th APRIL at

green is starting to look a lot better after some hard work by the
groundsman to repair the damage left behind by the footballers. Lets hope

WEB SITE LAUNCHED
A new web site for the club
has been created, to ensure that the club is promoted on the worldwide web and also give all members
and clubs up to date information on Panteg Park Bowls Club. It is also hoped that it
will be a vehicle to introduce new members to the club and sport.

evening was well attended and many thanks to our special guests for presenting the cups. The club would also like to thank John Berry for
organising the evening which was a great success.
- AUGUST 2007 - WE
JUST MISSED OUT ON PROMOTION
It went to
the last game of the season to decide the promotion to division 3. Panteg
Park missing out by only 4 points. We can look back on a very successful
season considering that we had only the bare minimum of members to select
from. Well done everyone, with the same commitment and hopefully a few more
members we can push for promotion next season

weather was excellent and the bowling was superb. The club would like to
